1973 – in an old farmhouse on the far west side of Madison, four aspiring young musicians began working full time as a band called Speakeasy.

Original members included (L-R), Phil Staley, Jon Lutz, Ron Muraski and Tom Morrison (in front). The band rented a farm house in front of the Big Sky Drive In Theater where they lived and rehearsed. They played many venues in the Midwest and as far west as Montana for a number of years. All the members stayed active in music, and in 2004, the original members brought the band back together.
